About the Atkins Young Artists Program
The Atkins Young Artists Program supports and encourages the development of extraordinary young classical vocalists through its grant-making and administration of a one- to two-year residency fellowship at the Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg. During their residency, Fellows receive training in language, diction, movement, physicality, acting, and performance from a roster of internationally renowned vocal coaches, directors, and guest artists. Fellows also sing and cover roles at the Mariinsky and tour both regionally and internationally. The Program aims to guide each Fellow closely through the introductory steps of the operatic profession to help them build a strong foundation for a lifelong career in the arts.
